About Us
We started our reptile room in 2020 just before Covid hit, as the world shut down around us we started thinking about growing plants indoors as a hobby to keep us busy.
This led to wondering what creatures could possibly live in an enclosed terrarium without posing a risk to the plants. As we had kept tropical fish for years and already had shrimp and a pet lobster (RIP Claudine) the next logical step for us was crabs. But what crabs?
After deciding hermit crabs were too destructive, marine crabs were too difficult, land crabs too large we eventually settled on metallic vampire crabs.
The rest, as they say is history. One vivarium led to another and another, once we moved into a larger home I was able to have a whole space for my reptiles - who needs a dining room anyway - a reptile room is far superior!
