The Reptile Room has Bugs!!!
Our geckos and dart frogs get a lot of attention here at The Reptile Room but we have a lot more to see here if you look close enough! We have bugs!!! Some of the enclosures we use for our pet insects Insects, beetles, arachnids and invertebrates can make fantastic little pets for people who are short on space, who are renting and cant officially have a pet, collectors who have gotta catch em all and people who, like me, are bug enthusiasts! Heres how we care for them......

Baby Geckos. So.many.baby.Geckos! - New Arrivals at The Reptile Room - Ireland
Hatching season is in full swing here in The Reptile Room! It's an exciting time here at The Reptile Room! As all baby geckos are un-sexed, we use placeholder names to help tell them apart. This season babies produced by Pippin have been given Lord Of The Rings themed n

Our rescue geckos are good to go!
Amber and Stella have completed their rehabilitation and are looking for their forever homes! Poor Whisky needs more time. As many of you know we took in thirteen rescue geckos back at the start of August, most have successfully been re-homed with only three left still waiting. Strange and Unusual things...
This week we have had the strangest baby crested gecko hatch out, well baby geckos - conjoined twins! Smeagol and Gollum. They pipped early this morning, but by late evening there was no progress. I gently manoeuvred the egg and then candled it but there was no sign of life so I went ahead and opened it up. They have one head, three eyes, seven arms, two tails and two twisted conjoined bodies. I wasn’t sure if I should post this but the scientist in me couldn’t not! Like all

The Reptile Room October update
Who's in, who's out and who's surprising us in The Reptile Room. What a month we have had! The launch of our website has been a huge boost for us and our beasties; with 14 adoptions we were able to upgrade our room heater to better maintain an ambient room temp of 22 degrees Celsius, which means that we don't have to provide supplemental heat to the geckos in The Reptile Room, (with the exception of the Klemmeri geckos who need 30.C). We have also been able to add an addition
