Pallid Roach

Phoetalia pallida

These roaches are much smaller and have a softer exoskeleton than Dubias. We use the babies to feed hatchling crested geckos and the adults as feeders for mantids and adult crested geckos.

They can eat almost anything - we feed ours on vegetable peelings. A very prolific species, and very easy to keep.

If keeping a colony you will need a heat mat set to 20.C on one side of their enclosure.

Be aware they can climb glass and plastic so you will need a barrier of Vaseline around the rim of their tub to prevent escapes.
