About Us
Based in the Republic Of Ireland, we are a small, family run business passionate about the care and wellbeing of Exotic Pets including Reptiles, Amphibians, Crustaceans and Invertebrates.
The Reptile Room - Ireland has been on a journey to get to what you see now; a website, Adoption & Rescue, being a Licenced Breeder of Exotic Pets, Blog and more.
Started in 2020 (when confronted with the looming, ever-realistic possibility of a national lockdown in the face of Covid- 19), our family began a collection of indoor plants as a hobby. We transformed the quietest room in the house into a sanctuary of green. This led to the addition of fish, shrimp and crabs. We now have reptiles, crabs, stick insects, an axolotl and many more. FINALLY, I have a good use of that Animal Management Qualification!
The rest, as they say, is history. You can check out our family gallery of beasties HERE.
For us as a family, and for me personally, the addition of pets to a home has always provided endless benefits to quality of life; empathy, emotional regulation, responsibility, curiosity and much more! As a neurodiverse family of five (humans) ranging from seven years old to an adulthood, our family Reptile Room offers us all a peaceful place to just be, to get curious and learn. We hope we can help you create your very own special space and care for your own special beasties.
